Bratz sur Mer : something different again - thr Croisic peninsular - a tiny finger of land right on the southern border of Brittany by sophisticated La Baule. Lovely sandy beaches on the Cote Savauge, fabulous walks, attractive bustling fishing port and marina with quayside cafes, small medieval cities and interesting old villages - we have attractive apartments on the beach with an open air swimming pool - what more could you want?
Then travelling a little further south along the Atlantic coast into Charente Maritme, we have La Baule and Ile de Ré
Places to visit
Concarneau: known as the ville blue, is a bustling seaport with a unique 13th century fortified town (the 'Ville-close'), enclosed by high walls, right in the centre of the port and reached via a draw bridge; This is now a major tourist attraction with cafes, artisans boutiques, and all sorts of tourist shops doing a roaring trade an with a festival amosphere created by wandering minstrels, street perfomers and jugglers in high season. Many of our holiday cottages and apartments are on the coastal road which circles the wooded Concarneau bay, on the north side - Les Sables Blancs and to the south the sandy beaches of Cabellou peninsula - . all have fabulous views
Pont Aven: the coast between Concarneau and Pont Aven consists of a series of small ports in verdant valleys, coastal footpaths and stunning sandy beaches. Here you will find Pendruc, Kerdalle, the beaches of Trevignon and Kerfany les Pins.
Pont Aven itself is completely different - a pictuesque village, beloved of artists and made famous by Gauguin. It lies inland at the end of a wooded creek and has many galleries and craft shops. Wander around after a day on the beach, sample the many restaurants and come home with a truly different souvenir.
